For many years, David's Chair has relied on the generosity of donors, fundraising events, and grant funding to sustain our operations and ensure that every service we provide remains free to those who need it.

Like many nonprofits across the country, 2025 presented one of the most challenging fundraising environments we have ever experienced. Grant opportunities became more limited, donations declined, and many organizations were forced to reduce services or close their doors. Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, David's Chair not only survived-we remained committed to our mission of providing life-changing outdoor recreation opportunities to individuals with mobility challenges.

While 2026 is shaping up to be one of our strongest years yet, we recognize that economic conditions can change quickly. We cannot assume that every year will bring the same level of support.

To ensure that David's Chair will continue serving future generations, we must build a strong financial foundation that can weather uncertain times.

On May 14, 2025, we were honored to hold our first Endowment Celebration at Naumes Suncrest Winery. We are deeply grateful to Mike and Laura Naumes for their generosity in hosting this special event and for helping us launch the David's Chair Endowment Fund.

An endowment is a permanent investment fund established through charitable donations. Rather than spending the donated principal, the funds are carefully invested to generate long-term earnings. David's Chair uses a portion of those earnings to support our mission while allowing the principal to continue growing over time.
