Tow and Go
The Tow and Go program is becoming more popular and we are looking to expand our Tow and Go locations in Oregon. We currently have three Oregon locations for our Tow and Go program. One location is in Southern Oregon out of our headquarters in White City, one on the Oregon coast in Gold Beach and the third location is in Northwest Oregon out of Tigard. A person wanting to tow one of our track chairs on their own adventure will go to the Chair Reservation Request link and select your Tow and Go options. You should be able to navigate through the prompts to complete the initial chair reservation process. For any additional questions reach out to us through our contact us link.
Fixed Site Location
Our most popular program, Fixed Location Chairs, are now available to be reserved in destination locations such as, Gold Beach, Florence, Manzanita, Netarts, Newport, Pacific city, Kuchel National Park, Seaside, Westport, Washington and Reno, Nevada! We continue to look for fantastic partnerships with communities and organizations who would like to host a track chair from David's Chair in Oregon and beyond. A person wanting to reserve a Fixed Location Chair will go to the Chair Reservation Request Link and select their location and options. You should be able to navigate through the prompts to complete the initial chair reservation process. For any additional questions reach out to us through our contact us link.
How Tow and Go Works
We pair up one of our track chairs with one of our fully enclosed trailers specially designed with a rear door that opens into a ramp. We do require you to use our trailer when towing one of our chairs. You will need a 2” ball with a straight 4-prong trailer hookup with safety chain hooks and all trailer lights must be working. We require that the person towing the trailer and chair provide proof of driver's license and $100,000 Liability insurance that will cover any damage to the trailer and chair while being towed. The trailer and chair weight is approximately 1500lbs. Once you make the reservation you will be contacted immediately by an email from David's Chair to complete the process by signing our waivers and chair borrowing agreement via Donorview. We look forward to getting you out on your adventure!
How Fixed Site Locations Work
We partner with fantastic volunteers and hosts to bring track chairs to outdoor recreation areas for people with mobility challenges to utilize at no cost. Though each location's time slots, days of operation and volunteers are different we require the same basic reservation process. Once you make the reservation you will be contacted by a David's Chair representative to complete the process by signing our waivers and agreements via Donorview. Once your reservation has been approved you will be ready to meet a volunteer at your chosen location and time to begin your adventure!
